Hey,

My name is Lisa and I run Why Lose Weight, a site dedicated to self motivation and weight loss. Many people do not understanding that asking yourself that question in the first place is one of the hardest things to do, it’s difficult to accept that you are not always “healthy” as your are.

1 Year ago I weighed over 17 stone, for my height of 5′3″ that was not a great look. I constantly made excuses to myself about my weight and found reasons I shouldn’t go to the gym or eat a little better. The day that turned it around for me was while shopping abroad (Egypt) for some clothes I couldn’t find the right size, not just in one shop but the 7-8 shops i visited on the same day had nothing that would fit me and I missed out on some beautiful, uniue dresses.

Maybe that seems a bit trivial but it was the thing that kick started me into loosing weight. 12 months later I have lost 6 stone, it was not an easy journey but I feel much better for it and my relationship has improved tenfold.

This website isn’t just about the techniques I used or trying to get you to buy one pill or another, I am instead trying to make you see that simply wanting to lose weight is important and then using all these other techniques are the next steps.
