Diabetics may use artificial sweeteners to give their food a sugary taste without raising their blood sugar levels. However, if you are diabetic you&#8217;ll want to keep in mind that some foods like sugar free yogurt can actually raise your blood sugar levels. This is because of other carbs and proteins mixed in. Other sugar free products may also contain flour which is known to raise blood sugar levels too so be sure to check the ingredients first. You&#8217;ll also want to remember that foods containing sugar substitutes may also contain calories which you don&#8217;t need if you are trying to<strong> lose weight</strong>.</p>
